Senior SHEQ Advisor
Are you looking for a Senior Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Advisor role? Interested in working for a well-established, long-standing Civils Contractor?

VANRATH are recruiting a Senior Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Advisor on behalf of a well-established Civils Contractor based in Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration: c£40,000 to £50,000 DOE + vehicle / package

Client: Our client is a well-established, long-standing Civils Contractor that has been operating for over 40 years with a wealth of knowledge and experience within the industry. The business carries out a range of projects across the Utilities, Renewable Energy, and General Civil Engineering sectors.

The Role and Responsibilities:
As a key member within the team, you will play an important role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment across all company utilities and construction operations. Responsibilities will focus on promoting best practices, reducing risks, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all documentation and activities are compliant with local, national and EU HSEQ legislation and standards, as well as company policies.
  • Assist with the management of CDM responsibilities.
  • Create and maintain relevant Health and Safety Documentation, such as Risk Assessments, Method Statements, COSHH Assessments, Tool box talks, and Training Records.
  • Complete accident and incident reporting where applicable, investigating any incidents and identifying and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure all safety standards and procedures are being upheld and met.
  • Support the preparation of tender documentation to ensure SHEQ compliance submissions.
  • Managing and maintaining current ISO management system certifications, including compliance, auditing, and continuous improvement, specifically directed at ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
  • Help to encourage a culture of safety within the organisation through communication, continuous training, and employee engagement.

Experience:

  • NEBOSH Qualification / relevant Health & Safety Qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Health & Safety, preferably with the inclusion of Environmental and Quality management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant local / national / EU HSEQ legislation and standards.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 management systems.
  • Strong IT Skills and good communication skills for liaison with clients and suppliers.
  • Full driving licence.
  • CSR card.
