Job description

Are you ready to lead and deliver meaningful infrastructure projects that will shape public services for years to come?

A high-impact opportunity has arisen with one of our longstanding public sector clients in Northern Ireland. We are seeking a Capital Projects & Asset Management Co-ordinator to join a dynamic Facilities & Assets team responsible for delivering a modern, fit-for-purpose estate that underpins front-line operations across the region.

The Role

As a key advisor to the Capital Build & Asset Manager, you will oversee a range of high-value construction and refurbishment programmes, ensuring strategic delivery aligned with the organisation's estate strategy. You'll manage projects ranging from £30k minor works to multi-million-pound new builds, acting as the lead project officer and point of contact for consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management of capital works (£250k-£6m), including procurement, contract administration, and delivery oversight.
  • Acting as Principal Designer and overseeing NEC3/NEC4 contract compliance using tools such as CEMAR.
  • Supporting asset management strategies, ensuring robust property and inventory records.
  • Engaging with key regulatory bodies and ensuring full compliance with H&S, planning, and environmental regulations.
  • Advising on budget planning, cost improvement, and energy reduction initiatives.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. Construction, Estates Management, Building Surveying), or significant experience (7+ years) in facilities or estates management.
  • Proven experience managing construction projects, procurement processes, and contractor performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A strong understanding of public procurement regulations and estate compliance.
Desirable Extras
  • NEBOSH or similar health & safety qualification.
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.
  • Previous experience in local government or wider public sector environments.
Why Apply?

This is a unique opportunity to work on complex and meaningful projects within a respected public service environment. You'll have the autonomy to lead, innovate, and influence - all while contributing to the long-term sustainability and efficiency of the public estate.
