Senior Prudential Reporting Accountant - Global Financial Services Group - Up to £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Study Support - City/London (with hybrid working)

With offices in Europe, Asia and the US, this international financial services PLC has a solid reputation in the industry along with a strong track record of sustained success. Their Finance team in London is looking to hire an ambitious fully-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accounting professional to work within the Prudential Reporting division. The team plays a pivotal role in meeting the external reporting obligations of the EMEA Finance team, with a primary focus on Regulatory and Statutory reporting across all legal entities within the EMEA region.

This role is focused on ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, offering the opportunity to actively contribute to a range of Finance-related regulatory projects and initiatives. It's a hands-on finance position that requires a self-driven professional with exceptional communication, organisational, managerial, and analytical abilities. Being able to work efficiently whilst ensuring a quality and controlled delivery of information is paramount. Collaboration with various other functions within the finance department as well as the wider organisation will be a significant aspect of this role.

Profile Criteria:

  1. Fully-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with regulatory reporting experience (essential)
  2. Knowledge of capital requirements and regulatory reporting standards
  3. Understanding of Finance inputs into the EMEA Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessment (ICARA/ICAAP) process
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  5. Good communication and influencing skills with stakeholder management experience

Role Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery of prudential regulatory reporting requirements (FCA, NFA, ACPR, DFSA, CFTC, EBA & DNB) and UK Client Money (CMAR).
  2. Working with the business to optimise return on capital across EMEA.
  3. Responsible for the Finance inputs into the EMEA Internal Capital Adequacy and Risk Assessments (ICARAs) and Wind down plans for in scope regulated entities.
  4. Assist in drafting technical papers & ALCO/Board updates to support regulatory treatments and governance.
  5. Provide input into the development of regulatory reporting systems and automation of processes.
  6. Design effective financial resource monitoring, working closely with Risk and Business.
  7. Assess regulatory impact of business change initiatives under applicable regulatory frameworks.
  8. Horizon scanning for relevant Regulatory changes including assessment of impact on the firm’s capital requirements.
  9. Collaborate with EMEA Treasury team to ensure appropriate capital and liquidity buffers are maintained.
  10. Work closely with auditors during year-end processes and regulatory reviews.
  11. Scenario planning and stress testing to ensure business resilience against regulatory and economic changes.
  12. Foster strong working relationships across wider EMEA Finance team, Risk, Compliance and the business.
  13. Provide ad hoc assistance with prudential and statutory deliverables as required.
