An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Quality Manager to drive quality assurance and compliance within a thriving manufacturing environment. This role offers the chance to lead a dedicated team, implement effective quality management systems, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in quality management, particularly within the FMCG or packaging sectors. Join a company that values quality and innovation, where your contributions will significantly impact operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Quality Manager, Close to Halifax, West Yorkshire, £50k - £60k (DOE)
The Opportunity:
My Client, a well established, (decades old) family owned, fast paced, manufacturing business, the UK's leading independently owned business in its niche, T/O £60m+, is looking for a dynamic, proactive and experienced Quality Manager.
This business is successful and profitable (can be evidenced via Companies House). There is low staff turnover and a fantastic culture of loyalty. Many staff members have been working there for many years.
However, there is a belief that improvements can be achieved with the introduction of the right Quality Manager, who is an experienced Lean practitioner, highly effective at driving behaviour change throughout the business, able to explain the reasons for change, where necessary, in a tactful, diplomatic way and can be the public face of the business handling issues/complaints with Customers.
Reporting to the Operations Director, managing a team of 2 (1 administrator and 1 quality coordinator), this is a hands-on role, where you are able to have huge influence over the business operations and ultimately its effectiveness. The role will suit somebody who can manage, interact with and influence not just their own direct reports but everybody across each business area, to instill a dedicated culture of quality throughout.
Job Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality assurance systems to ensure that products meet internal standards, customer expectations, and industry regulations. This role requires a proactive leader who can assess gaps in quality performance, develop improvement strategies, and drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the company.
As a key leadership team member, the Quality Manager will also ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations while fostering a safe working environment.
