A Japanese banking is currently recruiting a Japanese-speaking Property Finance Manager to work in London.
In this role you will be responsible for launching and managing London real estate finance division, including business development, risk management, monitoring and compliance.

Property Finance Manager Main Responsibilities:
Department Launch and Strategy Development
• Market Research: Analysis of London and European real estate markets, research on
competitors in real estate finance
• Business Plan Development: Setting vision, mission, short-term and long-term goals for the
new department
• Department Structure: Recruitment, organizational structure development, establishment of
operational processes
Client Relations and Business Development
• Building Client Base: Establishing relationships with major London real estate developers
and investors
• Loan Opportunity Sourcing: Identifying and proposing financing opportunities for real estate
development projects and property acquisitions, proposing loan terms
• Contract Negotiations: Negotiating loan terms, contract execution, managing legal
procedures
Risk Management
• Due Diligence: Detailed investigation of borrowers and projects, including financial status,
legal risks, and property valuation
• Risk Management Framework: Implementation of management measures for real estate
market fluctuation risks and lending risks
Loan Monitoring and Follow-up
• Project Progress Management: Regular monitoring of financed real estate developments
and projects, early countermeasures for emerging issues
• Repayment Plan Management: Monitoring client repayment schedules, discussing
countermeasures for any issues
Regulatory Compliance and Reporting
• Local Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with UK and EU financial regulations
and real estate-related laws
• Fulfilling Reporting Obligations: Regular reporting to headquarters and London financial
authorities
Collaboration with Bank's Existing Network
• Internal Communication: Coordination with Japanese headquarters and other overseas
branches, sharing knowledge and information
• Cross-border Transaction Support: Support for real estate transactions with Japanese and
other international clients
Product Development
• New Financial Products/Services Development: Development and introduction of new loan
products and investment products related to real estate finance
Property Finance Manager Ideal Candidate:
• 3+ years of real estate finance experience in the UK
• Knowledge of UK and international real estate markets
• Understanding of UK and EU financial regulations and real estate transaction laws
• Understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer)
processes
• Financial analysis and risk management skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance
• Business level proficiency in English
• Business level proficiency in Japanese is advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
