Quality Inspector vacancy with great prospects for long term career stability and growth.
Our award winning engineering business on the outskirts of Tewkesbury is growing. Following a large investment in buildings and facilities, we're now proud to be investing in more technologically advanced equipment and machinery. We're a small to medium sized precision engineering company on a journey of achieving great things and we're excited to be looking to hire another Quality Inspector on a permanent basis to join our growing team. Could you be our newest employee?
You won’t necessarily have heard of us because jobs don't come up here very often. This only happens if one of our team retires or if we're growing, and this time we're growing. You probably won't have heard of our customers either because we make some highly specialist components for high-tech industries which generally go under the radar, but these products do go on to make life-changing impacts for so many people all over the world.
We're a friendly team. We work hard and we're proud of the work we do. With the latest in metrology equipment, clean, modern, and well-organised premises, plus good managerial support and all the tools and software we need, we get the job done to a high standard.
We’re now in a great position to take on a new Quality Inspector to join our growing team to support all inspection matters for CNC machined components. By joining us, you'll enjoy:
What experience will you need as our new Quality Inspector?
We're open to considering your application whether you're relatively early in your career as a Quality Inspector, or perhaps you're more experienced and you're interested in taking on more of a Quality Lead role.
Either way, you’ll be an experienced Quality Inspector, comfortable completing first offs and in-process inspections, carrying out first article and final inspections against drawings to precision tolerances.
You’ll probably have more than two years’ experience of working as a Quality Inspector, but if you have the skills already in less time, then we'll welcome your application too.
You'll have had some exposure to handling non-conforming parts, and it would be great if you have experience of producing non-conformance reports, working very closely, and regularly meeting with customers to work through engineering challenges together.
As an experienced Quality Inspector you’ll know this already but to be clear, you’ll be confident in using a range of precision inspection tools to check dimensions of machined metal components to include gauges, micrometers, vernier calipers, microscopes, shadowgraphs, CMM and similar equipment. You don't need to know how to program a CMM because we have people who do, but you will need to be able to use one confidently.
Depending on the level you join us at, you may also be spending more time working closely with our Directors on Quality Management Systems, processes and documentation, carrying out non-conformance investigations and reporting, and working with our customers to overcome engineering challenges together.
