Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Newcastle

Location: Newcastle
Start date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Are you a caring and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive school in Newcastle.

About the Role:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN

  • Assist the teacher in delivering tailored learning activities

  • Support students with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties

  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to support student progress

About You:
  • Experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
  • Ability to use initiative and adapt to different learning needs
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification) is desirable but not essential
