Location: Telford

Salary: Starting Salary £18.50 per hour
Shift: Days: 8-4.45 Mon - Thursday and 8-12.00 on a Friday plus overtime at an enhanced rate

Overview

Seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems and will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

1. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
2. Assemble and fit mechanical components
3. Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical systems
4. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment
5. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical systems
6. Document and report any issues or maintenance activities

Qualifications

1. Certification or diploma in mechanical engineering or a related field
2. Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role
3. Strong understanding of mechanical components and systems
4. Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
5. Excellent problem-solving skills
6. Good communication and teamwork abilities
