About Our Client
Our client is a well-respected player in the Energy sector with a growing legal team.
Job Description
- Draft and negotiate corporate contracts.
- Manage corporate transactions, including M&A, corporate governance, data protection, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Continuously improve and develop clients' contractual templates and processes and provide training to the wider business.
- Coordinate with local counsel in various markets regarding local laws and compliance, including the incorporation and set-up of subsidiary offices.
- Interpret laws and ensure compliance with UK and international legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide advice concerning business transactions with customers, financial institutions, shareholders, directors, officers, and others.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Corporate Counsel should have:
- A minimum of 3 years PQE within a corporate practice at a law firm or in-house.
- Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the fundamentals of company law.
- Excellent judgement, preferably with experience advising senior management teams and/or other senior stakeholders.
- Strong negotiating skills and sound commercial judgement, able to balance legal considerations.
- Strong presentation skills with experience in providing legal training.
