Machine Operator

Location: Outskirts of Ely, Cambridgeshire

Hours: 06:00-14:00 Monday-Friday & 14:00-00:00 Monday-Thursday

Starting Hourly Rate: £12.07 per hour + holiday pay with salary increases based on skill level

Duration: Temporary to Permanent.

Due to continuous growth, we are recruiting for a Machine Operative to join our well-established client at their second site based on the outskirts of Ely. Previous Manufacturing experience is desirable for the position, but not essential as full training will be offered for the right person. You must have a can-do attitude, be comfortable working with tools and be physically fit.

If successful on pre-screening you may be asked to work on a paid 2 hour trial period.

What you will be doing:

1. Setting and running moulding machinery
2. Accurately weighing out powders to produce moulds
3. Using hand-tools to assemble products
4. Confidently read Specification sheets
5. Work closely within a team to help achieve targets

What you will need:

1. Positive attitude towards work and colleagues
2. To be able to work independently or within small teams
3. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is desirable
4. Previous experience working with hand and power tools is desirable
5. Previous experience operating machinery is desirable
6. To be able to measure out products accurately
7. Happy with heavy lifting
