Position Summary:

As the business continues to grow, Newland Chase’s Immigration division is going from strength to strength. This position offers the opportunity to join our well-respected, award-winning immigration practice. This role will allow you to work within, and learn from, a busy team of experienced and knowledgeable professionals who are from a combination of law firms, world-renowned global immigration consultancies, ex-Government bodies, and specific industry backgrounds. This is an exciting chance to develop your career and have the autonomy to manage client and government relationships, working at the forefront of new and developing immigration policies and practices whilst providing first-class service.

Duties will include but will not be limited to:

  1. Carrying out volume UK Immigration casework (with particular focus on family migration cases) with direct liaison with the client.
  2. Monitoring progress and following up on completion. Cases covered will include a range of standard corporate and private client applications as well as more complex cases which will be assigned in line with experience and availability of appropriate supervision, if required.
  3. Managing volume queries and ensuring quality of advice at all times.
  4. Monitoring application and workload deadlines and completing assigned work within the appropriate time frames.
  5. Monitoring visa expiry dates and alerting the clients appropriately in accordance with standard Newland Chase protocols.
  6. Ensuring the appropriate client records are established and maintained through our internal case management tool.
  7. Preparation of compliance packs for corporate clients.
  8. Ensuring all fees and disbursements are invoiced and full payment is received prior to case submission.
  9. Assessing business objectives of our clients and making suitable recommendations to our client’s business needs which may include business practices, human resource and manpower, latest regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  10. Disseminating complex information and conducting research on relevant country information, rules, laws, and practices to provide clients with a coherent and structured solution and strategy.
  11. Providing clients with excellent service (in accordance with company or client-specific service levels), responding to email and telephone enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring that advice is comprehensive and accurate.
  12. Managing and advising clients regarding sponsor license updates (sponsor change of circumstances), new sponsor license, and renewal applications.
  13. Advising clients in regards to their sponsor license compliance obligations in line with Home Office guidance, undertaking in-depth compliance evaluations at client sites.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Previous Immigration Advisory experience – E
  2. OISC Level 1 registration or higher – E
  3. 2 years of experience or higher – D
  4. Proven ability to research, identify, analyze and interpret information from a range of sources and develop an appropriate solution – E
  5. Proven ability to work as part of a team – E
