Job description

Machinist - Workshop Technician - Turner

Summary

To work as a skilled Turner within the workshop facility to manufacture and repair component parts for equipment such as pumps, compressors, steam turbines, and gearboxes.

General Duties

  • Operate Conventional and XYZ Protrak Lathe (preferred but not essential, full training given)
  • Liaise with Inspection and Engineering
  • Loading/unloading and movement of equipment and materials in the workshops
  • General workshop duties

Responsibilities

  • Carry out machining operations to work scopes, engineering drawings, and appropriate specifications
  • Work to close tolerances
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship at all times
  • Ensure machinery is kept clean and maintained

Working Hours

37 hours per week - time and a half overtime

Mon to Thur - 7.45am to 4.15pm

Friday - 7.45am to 12.45pm

Possibility of flexi-time. Development opportunities available.
