Job description

Main Function

  1. The Building Safety Manager shall lead the delivery of fire safety remediation, as well as being responsible for the co-ordination of architectural and engineering design for cladding remediation projects across the legacy portfolio.
  2. Their duties shall include the co-ordination of all resources (internal and external) to ensure the adequate remediation of buildings and discharge of all necessary conditions attached to planning permissions, building regulation/warranty approvals and SBA assessments for each project.

Key Functional Areas

  1. Cladding and fire safety remediation
  2. Must have a working knowledge of PAS9980, FRAEW's, EWS1's, SBA's with experience of external wall systems on medium and high-rise developments.
  3. Must be able to manage projects in occupied buildings, both in terms of the design nuances of remediation projects, and the necessary stakeholder engagement required.
  4. Must maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation appropriate for remediation schemes, including agreements reached with national governments.
  5. Responsible for data collection and reporting, both to drive data led decision making and for statutory reporting to government.
