Document Controller

As a Document Controller, you will start your day by reviewing and updating the document control system, ensuring all new documents are correctly filed and categorized. You will then distribute relevant documents to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring they have the latest information. Throughout the day, you will respond to document retrieval requests, maintain document logs, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of project documentation.

The Document Controller will be responsible for managing and maintaining all project documentation within the Grid Technologies division. This role ensures that all documents are accurate, up-to-date, and properly stored, facilitating efficient access and retrieval by project teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in document control within a technical or engineering environment.

1. Document Management: Maintain and manage all project documentation, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards.
2. Distribution: Distribute documents to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring they have access to the latest information.
3. Compliance: Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory requirements and company policies.
4. Support: Provide support to project teams by facilitating document retrieval and ensuring efficient access to information.
5. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving document control processes and implement best practices.

What You Bring:

1. Educational Background: GCSE or equivalent; additional qualifications in document control or records management are a plus.
2. Experience: Proven experience in document control within a technical or engineering environment, preferably in the energy sector.
3. Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in document control software and tools (e.g., EDMS, MS Office).
4. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
5. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of grid technologies and related documentation, familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
