HV/LV Senior Reliability Engineer

Join us in this role where you’ll be part of the Asset Reliability team where together with your colleagues you’ll be responsible for ensuring that UK West HV & Transmission systems, equipment and components perform consistently and reliably throughout their lifecycle. This role involves evaluating and improving the reliability, safety, and durability of various systems, performing failure analysis, and implementing preventive measures to minimize downtime and optimize operational performance.

You’ll be part of the UK West Hub where you, together with your colleagues, will represent and be part of the Asset Reliability Engineering Team for the UK West Asset Portfolio and will work closely and collaborate with engineering teams as well as engaging with key stakeholders in site operation, Global Support & Functional Teams.

You’ll play an important role in:

1. conducting and leading reliability studies including criticality analysis, FMEA, RCA, and monitoring system performance to identify improvement opportunities
2. developing and managing maintenance schedules on high voltage and transmission equipment
3. collecting and analysing performance data and preparing detailed reliability reports for stakeholders
4. managing technical risks, providing engineering insights into Management of Change, and ensuring compliance with industry standards
5. working with engineering teams to improve asset quality, provide training on reliability best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

To succeed in the role, you:

1. have an educational background in Electrical Engineering, Reliability/Asset Management with electrical bias, or a related field
2. demonstrate a professional experience in the high voltage and transmission business, particularly as an integrity engineer or reliability engineer
3. are proficient in reliability tools and analysis techniques (e.g. FMEA, RCA, RAMS, DMAIC)
4. have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify failure modes, causes, and corrective actions
5. are an excellent communicator, with the ability to present complex data and technical information to non-technical stakeholders
6. maintain a flexible mindset, exhibit readiness to drive global change, develop your capabilities, and effectively manage uncertainty.
