pobl. is an independent talent consultancy seeking a talented Senior Medical Writer to join a start-up medical communications agency working across various types of projects, including medical education, medical affairs, and publications. Their mission is to raise the quality of healthcare provision by empowering scientific organisations to create impactful education.

About the Role

Medical Writers translate complex medical and scientific information into clear, accurate, and compelling content for various audiences. As a Senior Medical Writer, you'll take on additional responsibilities mentoring junior peers, reviewing work, and developing independent client and KOL relationships.

This is a hybrid working role with Mondays in their London offices and the remaining 4 days working from home. A remote arrangement with fewer in-person days would be considered for strong candidates living far from London.

What You'll Be Doing

1. Develop scientific copy of the highest standards for a range of educational and promotional materials across various therapeutic areas.
2. Review other writers' work for scientific accuracy and strategic alignment with project objectives.
3. Form close working relationships with clients and KOLs, acting as the key scientific contact for individual projects.
4. Lead client calls and provide on-site editorial support with guidance from the on-site lead.
5. Coach and mentor junior team members while managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.

What We're Looking For

1. Degree in biomedical science, pharmacy, or medicine (Advanced degree or PhD preferred).
2. You will be currently working as a medical writer and ready to progress, or a senior medical writer looking for a fresh and exciting new challenge where you can make a real difference.
3. Excellent scientific writing ability with passion for scientific storytelling.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
5. Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail in style, grammar, scientific accuracy, and design.
