Part-Time Teaching Assistant - Key Stage 1 (Year 1/2)
Location: Chesterfield Infant School
Start Date: 22nd April 2025
Hours: Part-time, Monday to Wednesday

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a small, friendly primary school in Chesterfield, rated Good by Ofsted. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a mixed Year 1/2 class, helping children thrive across the curriculum.

About the Role:

1. Working three days a week (Monday to Wednesday), supporting all aspects of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
2. Leading interventions in phonics, reading, and handwriting for children who need extra support.
3. Working closely with the class teacher to promote engagement and progress.
4. Providing one-to-one and small group support as required.

About You:

1. A TA qualification at Level 2 or above is beneficial but not essential.
2. Experience working with Key Stage 1 children is desirable.
3. Patient, nurturing, and committed to helping children achieve their potential.
4. Confident supporting phonics, reading, and handwriting interventions.
5. A team player with a positive attitude, ready to contribute to a supportive school environment.
