The Biomed Engineer Technician I performs duties assigned by the Supervisor in accordance with current policies and procedures. These duties include performing preventive maintenance, safety tests, incoming inspection, installation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and documentation to assigned patient care equipment. Performs assigned duties with close supervision and according to manufacturer’s recommendations. Performs all other duties assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Military Medical Repair Specialist School or equivalent electronic training and experience.
  2. Must have a valid driver's license.

Desirable Characteristics:

  1. 0-2 years of industry experience or military setting with electronics background.
  2. Field service maintenance with a medical equipment maintenance vendor is also acceptable.
