Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum

Hours: Part Time, Term Time only

One of the world's leading coeducational independent schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Librarian to join our vibrant community.

The Role

As the Librarian, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the library services and fostering a culture of reading and research among the pupils.

Responsibilities

You will work closely with the Senior and Research Librarian to ensure the library is a welcoming and resource-rich environment. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Cataloguing and classifying new stock and managing library subscriptions.
2. Promoting a love of reading through engaging activities and programs.
3. Assisting students in developing their independent research skills.
4. Supervising library staff and volunteers while ensuring a positive experience for all users.

Skills

1. Literate and numerate, with excellent IT skills.
2. Enthusiastic about reading and education, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
3. Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
4. Committed to safeguarding the welfare of our students.

Qualifications

1. Essential: Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
2. Desirable: A degree in Library/Information Studies or a related field.
