Client Accountant

As an experienced qualified or QBE accountant with depth and breadth of experience within an accountancy practice, you'll enjoy the client-facing side of the job.

Producing a set of accounts, tax computations, statutory returns and all those tasks that sole traders, partnerships and Ltd companies need from a reputable firm, you'll have a varied and interesting workload all whilst being supported by a small team.

Someone who steps up as they grow, wanting to help team members and support the business owner, handling incoming queries and working unsupervised.

The firm is relatively new but growing and you'll bring the team to five, including the owner, a senior, a junior and an administrator.

This might be a small firm but they are ambitious and have plenty to offer. Including 33 days of holiday (including bank holidays) and the opportunity to work flexibly.

Ideally, you'll work 37.5 hours a week but if you're looking for four full working days or five days with shorter hours to accommodate school runs or the commute, for example, then you will be considered. Core working hours are from 10 am to 4 pm and they offer time off in lieu.

Your place of work will be hybrid and you'll be expected to be in the office for a minimum of two days per week.

You'll work for a supportive, friendly boss with a modern attitude to the workplace who doesn't demand you book a holiday if you need to nip to the dentist, as long as it's pre-arranged so work can be covered.

You can expect to be nice and busy but not to the point that anyone in the organisation is under pressure or stressed. They like to think they're friendly and offer a relaxed environment and you can expect to feel entirely comfortable approaching your boss with queries and concerns. She'll have your back.
