This role is available on a part-time, job-share and full-time basis

The opportunity:
If you’re looking for an opportunity to start your career in Leadership then this is the role for you. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Casualty and Business Resilience Practice in Zurich Resilience Solutions as a Team Manager. The role of the Team Manager is to effectively manage a team of Risk Consultants within the casualty (liability and motor) risk area to ensure the team delivers a high quality and operationally effective service to customers. To ensure operational requirements feed into the strategic direction of the Practice and to coach the team so that they can reach their full potential. Ultimately ensuring the team and the Practice is a great place to work by motivating, inspiring and nurturing.

What will you be doing?

  1. Leadership of the team, creating strong engagement and a collaborative and supportive culture, whilst delivering a high quality service.
  2. Create an environment where team members can achieve their full potential, through continuous development, with support, coaching and motivation.
  3. Co-ordinate and monitor teamwork activities and resources to achieve targets within agreed timescales and budgets.
  4. Manage performance of team members with regular engagement, to comply with operational instructions and Zurich policies and procedures.
  5. Implement people management strategy and resource plan to support the business.
  6. Create and enhance systems, processes and procedures to translate business plans into action and achieve maximum efficiency.
  7. Implement and ensure compliance with technical quality standards.
  8. Support external customers &/or underwriters by identifying, and reducing the risks that they face individually, and on an overall account/portfolio basis.
  9. Provide appropriate risk improvement advice, conduct loss investigations (including both trend and root cause analysis), and implement risk improvement programs.
