We have a great opportunity for a full-time band 6 nurse to work in Intensive Support Element of the Dementia & Older People's Mental Health Team based in Worthing West Sussex. Intensive Support operates a to 9-5pm 7 days a week including Bank Holidays.
The successful candidate will join a friendly, highly-skilled and enthusiastic multi professional team. We will take a keen interest in helping you to develop the skills important to this role and the post-holder will be encouraged to develop special interests and expertise in line with service and team objectives.
You will be part of a highly-skilled and supportive multi-disciplinary team. You will receive regular managerial and clinical supervision. The role of this post is to actively engage those requiring an increased level of support with the aim of keeping people within their home and maintaining their wellbeing and independence as far as possible. We are looking for individuals who are dynamic, compassionate, good communicator who are able to demonstrate a holistic and person-centred approach to their work.
You will also need to be able to work cohesively with other services both within our Trust, and with other partner agencies. We follow a multi-disciplinary approach and within that context you will manage a caseload of older adults.
The post holder will be expected to travel across the geographical area (Adur, Arun, Worthing & Chanctonbury) covered by the team, the ability to travel to remote areas is essential.
