Job description

Russell Taylor Group are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Site Manager to oversee and optimise our logistics operations on a construction project in Royston, Hertfordshire starting ASAP.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods and materials from suppliers to customers, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our supply chain processes. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of logistics management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
2. Oversee subcontractors on site.
3. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure seamless operations.
4. Coordinate ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
5. Utilise data analysis skills to monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
6. Supervise on site operations, including materials handling, inventory management, and order fulfilment.
7. Conduct category management to optimise product sourcing and procurement processes.
8. Train and mentor logistics staff on best practices in warehouse management and transportation.

EXPERIENCE

1. Proven experience in construction management or a related field is essential.
2. Strong knowledge of H&S regulations on a construction site.
3. Previous experience working with various subcontractors.
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
5. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external partners.

£260 - £310 per day pending experience
