About Our Client

Leading UK construction and development company looking to recruit an experienced pre-con PM to be responsible for providing leadership to my client's JV and/or contracting tenders, developing their development and bid strategies, in line with their hurdle and governance processes. My client possesses a strong project pipeline plus an ambition to expand the size of the team throughout 2025.

Job Description

  1. Production, ownership and implementation of individual project bid strategies (e.g. win / commercial / risk management) and customer plans.
  2. Responsible for leadership of project bid teams, to ensure that bid delivery programme and outputs are met, and customer focused approach is adopted.
  3. Responsibility for engaging with functional leads and Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to agree bid teams; monitoring and adapting to suit specific tender requirements throughout the bid period.
  4. Responsibility for producing and managing project bid budgets, balancing tender requirements with team efficiency.
  5. Ensure that all members of the project bid team have a clear understanding of their role and required outputs.
  6. Responsibility for taking a holistic view of the bid, ensuring that all facets of the tender are being adequately considered.
  7. Ensure all bids are carried out and settled in accordance with company governance.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate should possess development, joint venture and construction knowledge - a residential-sector expert; with a background delivering bids for joint ventures / developments will be key for this role. Proven experience within the development and preconstruction environment working on a variety of residential project types, sizes and procurement routes is also required.
