Job Title: Energy Efficiency Sales Specialist

Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time

Location: Remote: to cover 50% of visits in London and 50% of visits across the country

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve specification of Socomec Energy Efficiency systems with consultants and end-users.
  • Conduct CPD lunch & learn sessions and events on energy efficiency for consultants and end-users.
  • Tender for energy efficiency projects based on schematics and specifications or site visits.
  • Manage the systems integrator programme for energy efficiency systems.
  • Participate in the development of Socomec’s energy efficiency offer through market feedback, pricing, presentations, and documents.
  • Assist the regional sales engineers with expertise on energy efficiency systems.
  • Provide quotations for energy efficiency tenders.
  • Products and system specification for end-users and consultants.
  • New product launches: local launch plan, package, and pricing definition.
  • Events: CPD lunch & learn sessions at consultants, trade shows, and small events with partners.
  • Collect competition and customer feedback information and relay it to HQ.
  • Validate and tailor corporate marketing tools for the UK’s local needs.

The people/sales management activities of the role:

  • Provide day-to-day support to the UK PCS/EE Sales Manager by managing the EE product sales to maximise revenue, margin targets, and company goals and objectives.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to help members of the PCS/EE team solve commercial issues.
  • Liaison between the UK PCS/EE sales team and the EE BA to ensure well-coordinated and successful new product launches, pricing changes, and product promotions.
  • Ensure the business is developed in a sustainable and profitable way.
  • Ensure the targets set as per the company budget are achieved.
  • Represent the EE sales team when reporting major quality issues, competitor activity, or significant new opportunities to the UK and Corporate Senior Management Teams.
  • Consolidate monthly EE forecasts information and activity reports and provide this to the EE BA and UK PCS/EE Sales Manager.
  • Act as representative of EE Sales Team when required.

Qualifications / skills:

  • Good experience in IT environment and industrial communication networks.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the sale of technical solutions, ideally in measurement, metering, or energy management.
  • Electrical, electronic, or software engineering is a benefit.
  • Expertise in electrical engineering network (Low Voltage), automation (industrial networks and SCADA), and information technology (security, database, web).
