We are proud to be recruiting a Team Leader (Casualty Insurance Claims) for our national and international Insurance Client based in Leeds, Glasgow and Stoke-On-Trent.
The ideal candidates for consideration will be from a liability insurance, or Casualty insurance claims background, or candidates with transferable personal injury insurance claims experience.
Role outline:
The role of the Team Leader will supervise and support colleagues, handling allocated claims and ensuring that all claims are handled in accordance with client requirements, therefore experience in a similar role is beneficial.
The successful candidate will be required to attend the office once a week at either Glasgow, Leeds or Stoke-on-Trent.
The role will involve managing an allocated caseload, completing enquiries in relation to policy indemnity, legal liability and quantum, reporting to clients and ensuring that claims are handled proactively in accordance with the handling philosophy of Casualty Claims Solutions.
This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate working as part of a dedicated team providing a first-class proactive claims handling service to major clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicating with insurers, policyholders, and brokers.
- Investigating and handling allocated claims, either from your desk or by referring them to a field adjuster for on-site investigation when necessary.
- Evidence Gathering and obtaining all relevant evidence and documentation.
- Resolution and determining appropriate actions to resolve each case.
- Reporting and preparing detailed reports, advising on policy indemnity, legal liability, quantum, and tactics as needed.
- Negotiating settlements within agreed authority limits.
- Professional Correspondence and maintaining proactive communication with all parties involved.
- Adherence to Procedures, and handling cases according to documented procedures and client requirements.
- Reserve Management, including regularly reviewing and maintaining proper reserves.
- Continuous Learning and staying updated on technical changes relevant to the role, including participating in company facilitated training programs.
Essential requirements:
- Experience handling Noise Induced Hearing Loss Claims is ideal.
- Excellent management, planning and organisational skills.
- Experienced in leading a diverse team.
- Must be a strong confident communicator.
- A good negotiator.
- Leadership and motivational skills.
- Proficiency in managing Claims from cradle to grave.
- Experience with the investigation of Liability Claims.
- Knowledge of how to value injury claims.
- Understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and the Claims Portal.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
