Job description

FitXR is a fitness technology company working at the cutting edge of VR and MR, building a movement for movement.

We started life in 2016 in a garden shed in the UK. Today, we’re building FitXR, one of the top-downloaded apps on the Meta Quest store consistently over the past 5 years. We’ve raised close to $30m from top investors such as Maveron, Hiro, and BoostVC, and are now growing profitably.

We've built a growing range of fitness studios, from box workouts with world-class trainers like Olympian Nicola Adams to immersive Zumba dance classes. While nothing compares to trying it yourself, you can watch a trailer here.

Our team is distributed across Europe and the US. We’re guided by our Principles of Play: four core beliefs about how we treat each other and our community. We make space for every voice, believe in the importance of a learner’s mindset, and prioritize team success over individual glory.

FitXR has been downloaded by millions of people worldwide and featured in Forbes, Empire, T3, Washington Post, Men's Health, GQ and more. In 2022, FitXR ranked 6th in The Information’s 50 Most Promising Startups.

TLDR

We’re looking for Product Managers who are hungry to make a real impact. You’ll report directly to the CEO and work in a super flat structure, giving you the opportunity to ship valuable features to our customers with speed. If you’re all about finding conviction in ambiguity, making bold bets and working closely with leaders and peers at the top of their game, we want to hear from you.

Where you’ll spend your time

  1. Engage directly with our community - talk to users and champion their voice internally - making sure we’re solving real customer problems.
  2. Align priorities with both user needs and business goals.
  3. Define and communicate the “why” and the “what” in a way that inspires your teams.
  4. Ship features that attract new users and keep them coming back.
  5. Set and track progress against key metrics - balancing speed with accuracy in a fast-moving environment.
  6. Work closely with engineering, art, design, QA and leadership teams to bring our product vision to life.
  7. Run experiments and gain conviction on opportunities to add value to our customers.

We’d love to see from you

  1. Strong data competency: experienced using data to inform decision-making, using tools like Amplitude to track insights and progress.
  2. Strong UXR skills: passionate about understanding customer needs and creating experiences they love.
  3. Strong product sense: an intuitive sense of what makes a great product and how to balance user experience with business goals.
  4. Strong collaboration skills: experience successfully working with engineering, art and design teams to execute on product vision.
  5. Comfortable in ambiguity: confident making quick decisions with limited information, building conviction and driving momentum in uncertain conditions.
  6. Impact over process: driving real outcomes over adhering to rigid processes, always focused on delivering value to the end users.

What you’ll find at FitXR

  1. Stronger Together - We work as a team and trust each other to bring our best effort every day. Collaboration is at the core of what we do. We value diverse perspectives, take ownership of our work, and are committed to learning and growing together.
  2. ️️Move What Matters – We make bold plays to drive meaningful impact for our users. With conviction and commercial acumen, we embrace challenges, use data to make informed decisions, and always keep our community in focus.
  3. Deliver Greatness – We aim for excellence in everything we deliver. With a solutions mindset and a focus on continuous improvement, we take initiative to generate results and create exceptional experiences at every touchpoint.
  4. Remain Nimble – We adapt quickly to new opportunities and prioritize with intent. By challenging conventional thinking, pushing boundaries, and exploring new approaches, we deliver innovative outcomes efficiently and effectively.

Logistics

At FitXR, we are a remote-first company, embracing the flexibility to move quickly, stay focused, and adapt with ease. While remote work comes with its challenges, we prioritize collaboration and strong communication to ensure our team remains connected and effective.

Our interview process takes place on Google Hangouts and tends to consist of the following stages:

  1. Initial Screen with Talent Team
  2. Hiring Manager / Technical Interview
  3. Collaborative Task
  4. Founder Interview

Some roles may involve additional stages, and the full process will be shared with you at screen stage.
