ESS Employment are currently recruiting for a Buyer for a well-established local client to support the Bespoke Purchasing Manager and Generic Purchasing Manager in the smooth running of the Purchasing Department. This role involves working in all aspects of supply chain and procurement.

Responsibilities
  1. Create supply chain/inventory reports and interpret data.
  2. Manage inventory levels and stock management.
  3. Place purchase orders with suppliers.
  4. Work with suppliers on forecasting, and communicate with all parties.
  5. Manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance and performance standards are met.
  6. Negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules.
  7. Research new products and manufacturers.
  8. Support the sales team with working on tenders and presenting to customers where required.
  9. Work with the team to achieve KPIs and targets in various areas including supply chain management.
  10. Understand and influence key financial purchasing issues.
  11. Understand customs clearance/import procedures.
  12. Support all aspects of a busy purchasing department.
  13. Coordinate any special orders and opening ordering requirements.
Personal Profile
  1. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  2. Excellent organisational skills.
  3. Team player.
  4. Ability to prioritise a frequently changing workload.
  5. Highly organised and able to work well under pressure.
  6. A working knowledge of Prof.ItPlus.
