Job summary

An established industry player in the mental health sector seeks an experienced Approved Mental Health Practitioner for a locum role within a Community Mental Health Team. Do you have a passion for working in the Mental Health Sector? Are you an experienced Approved Mental Health Practitioner?

We have a fantastic Locum AMHP opportunity based within a Community Mental Health Team in the Halton, Merseyside area. The main purpose of the role is to provide an effective AMHP service to ensure wherever possible that Mental Health Act (MHA) assessment requests are managed within the resources provided by the AMHP rota.

Responsibilities:

  1. As a Community AMHP, you will work as part of a community team and you will complete assessments under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the Mental Health Act 1983.
  2. The role involves holding a caseload and completing a mixture of planned and Urgent Mental Health Act assessments.

To be considered for the AMHP role:

  1. 2-5 years experience of working within a similar social work setting
  2. Practising as an AMHP
  3. Diploma/Degree in Social Work
  4. Social Work England registration
  5. Evidence of managing with a complex caseload
