To be successful in this role our client has said it is essential that candidates:

  • are fluent in Mandarin and English

  • have knowledge of Financial Markets

What You'll be Doing:

  • Supporting the department to achieve both the Bank’s strategy and KPI targets. Handling departmental administrative tasks.
  • Accurately collecting and preparing daily, weekly & monthly data/reporting as required.
  • Ensuring all operational work is complying with the Bank’s guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Preparing high-quality data information on customer performance and market data for internal/external use.
  • Developing and sharing knowledge around products, procedures, and mandates to facilitate high service levels to the HOD and Sales teams.
  • Involvement in departmental and cross-departmental projects from time to time including internal and external liaison as required.
  • Be Subject Matter Expert (SME) with all database enquiries by Sales, External Departments, or HOD including but not limited to: client and trade information, FTP savings, Credit Risk, MTM, Timestamping, eFX stats, Managers Meeting, and MI data.
  • Cross-department data reconciliation and interaction with Middle Office, Financial Management Department, Head Office, etc.
  • Proactively improve the working processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Attend trainings both structured and unstructured. Observing Sales and Transaction to increase knowledge and understanding.
  • Coordinate GFM expense management and perform GIW system handling.
  • Undertake monthly department KPI monitoring and reconciliation with relevant department as well as HO.
  • Daily/weekly/monthly Risk monitoring and reporting.

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Relevant professional qualification as required i.e. PRA/FCA Registered Exams or Exemptions or Banking/Finance degree or strong academic background.
  • Data analytical skills (critical)
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with market data sources and knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.
  • Flexible mindset with regards to working hours.
  • Team player, diligent worker, good communicator, and willing to assist team members proactively.
  • Fluent English & Mandarin language skills essential - both oral and written.
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of efficiency and ability to multi-task under pressure.
  • High level organization skills.
  • Intellectually curious with new business and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to drive projects from ideation or assignment to execution.
