We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Site Factory Team Lead - Modularisation Development Programme.

The MDP Site Factory Team Leader will play a pivotal role in planning, delivery and operation of a representative site factory. This factory will enable delivery of key development, testing and optimisation activities within the Modularisation Development Programme (MDP). You will lead and drive activities involving a cross functional team, to define the site factory requirements, plan development activities, agree contractual strategies, select appropriate sites, define team growth, manage budgets, and ultimately deliver the first ever RR SMR Site Factory. You will be required to collaborate with key industrial partners to deliver this state-of-the-art facility, paving the way for delivery of the first Rolls-Royce SMR nuclear plant builds.

Key role objectives:

• Working with the wider MDP cross functional team develop and scope the MDP site factory requirements taking consideration of space, resource and capability requirements
• Ensure site factory interdependencies are mapped and addressed (e.g. installation of critical civil interfaces)
• Define facility equipment and infrastructure requirements
• Working in collaboration with the MDP cross functional team and identified subject matter experts (e.g. SMR Head of Property) develop site factory concepts and designs in line with the RIBA stage definitions
• Ensure SMR defined quality processes (S6.2.1 Design and implement factory solutions) are effectively deployed and managed
• Working with the SMR Head of Property, identify, down select and secure a site location.
• Work to engage a construction supplier and deliver the MDP site factory
• Identify operational resource solutions and secure the resource required to deliver site factory operational requirements
• Facilitate delivery of experimental requirements during site construction, operation and decommissioning activities
• Working with solution providers, ensure effective operational leadership for the MDP site factory
• Working in collaboration with the MDP Operations Team Lead ensure adherence to IMS processes and roll out of SMR Production System principles
• Facilitate supplier engagement and collaboration opportunities within site factory
• Manage the MDP site factory team performance, tasks, time, expenses and other administrative responsibilities with the support of their manager.
