You will have a Professional Qualification in Community Learning and Development (BA/PG Dip).
You will lead the development and delivery of community learning opportunities with a focus on adult literacies and adult learning to improve life chances through learning, personal development, and active citizenship. You will work on developing stronger, more resilient, supportive, influential, and inclusive communities by partnering with relevant agencies and communities to deliver on strategic objectives aimed at reducing inequality and addressing need.
You will have experience in delivering literacy and numeracy learning, managing and leading a team, and partnership working. An understanding and implementation of local and national policies related to Community Learning and Development and adult learning is required. You will also have experience in assessing learners/community needs and developing learning in response, with evidence of leading a team and implementing self-evaluation and improvement planning being essential. You should possess knowledge and a sound understanding of the principles underpinning community-based learning provision and demonstrate evidence of promoting the positive impact of Community Learning and Development. Good interpersonal and communication skills, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Office 365, Teams, Word, and Excel, are necessary.
