Group Leader Defence Radiation Protection Services (DRPS)
Location: PO12 2DL, located in Alverstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £ 62,210 - £86,793 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)
Working pattern: DRPS operates a 10-day working fortnight. We will consider flexible working requests so that your work may fit in with your lifestyle. Just let us know your preferred working pattern on your application. The successful candidate will be required to attend site.

AWE is currently recruiting for a Group Leader for Defence Radiation Protection Services (DRPS), the trusted Partner of high-quality radiation science For UK Defence and Security. Based in Gosport on the South Coast, the DRPS provides radiation protection advice and services to MOD, wider government and commercial customers, in the UK and overseas.
This is a rare opportunity for a dynamic leader to join our influential team, delivering impactful services across defence. You'll lead multi-disciplinary technical teams in delivering a range of services including our Nucleonic Instrumentation Service, Approved Dosimetry Service, radiation protection advice and training and the provision of MOD's Radiological and Nuclear Emergency Response Organisation (RNERO). You will empower our people to excel and ensure our vision statement of being the trusted partner of high-quality radiation science for defence is met.
Key Responsibilities:
Please note that you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 10 years to apply for DV clearance which is a requirement for this role and the interviews will be conducted in-person at INM Alverstoke on 1st and 2nd of May 2025.

Due to the classified nature of the work involved, there are limited opportunities to work from home in this role. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working on site at DRPS Alverstoke.
