About the Role:

As a Functional Assessor, you will assess individuals applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Work Capability Assessment (WCA) benefits as part of the DWP's Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).

Salary: £39,500.00 - £45,500.00

Contract: Permanent | 40 hours (Full-time & Part-time available)

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting telephone, video, or face-to-face consultations
  2. Completing thorough assessments to understand how a claimant's condition impacts their daily life
  3. Writing fair, accurate, and objective reports
  4. Providing a reassuring, non-biased, and respectful experience for every claimant

Requirements
What We're Looking For:
  1. Minimum 12 months post-qualification experience as a:
  • Nurse (RCN, RGN, RMN, RNLD)
  • Physiotherapist
  • Occupational Therapist
  • Paramedic
  1. Full registration with one of the following professional bodies:
  • Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
