Litigation Lawyer

We are currently partnering with a Local Authority based in Devon who are recruiting for a Litigation Lawyer to join their growing team on a fully remote, locum basis, initially 3 months, with opportunities to extend following this. The rate of pay for this position is flexible.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Advising on a variety of civil litigation matters, providing expert legal advice and representation in various civil disputes
• Handling a varied caseload including general civil litigation and judicial review proceedings
• Conducting legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents, and providing case analysis
• Assisting in negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions when appropriate
• Advising in respect of selective and additional licensing schemes and enforcement work
• Providing guidance and supervision to junior members of the Litigation team

Requirements:

• Experience required in Local Government
• Experience within judicial reviews
