An established healthcare provider is seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join their dynamic team in the Specialist Rehabilitation department. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist with proven clinical skills to join our team on a 12-month secondment. The post is based at Neurological Outpatients in the Specialist Rehabilitation department of Florence Nightingale Community Hospital. You will work alongside a team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists/Speech and Language Therapists and Psychologists.
The Role Will Involve The Following:
To provide assessment and treatment to patients with complex neurological presentations, within the department of Neurological Outpatients Therapy Service in the Specialist Rehabilitation department of Florence Nightingale Community Hospital.
To provide support, guidance, training and evaluation of qualified and unqualified staff. This would include working with the support team/family in the patients community, and other members of the MDT to deliver a comprehensive training programme.
To ensure professionalism and excellent communication with staff, patients and relatives in routine and complex circumstances, including holding difficult conversations.
To deputise for the Band 7 in the day-to-day management of the unit including attending relevant meetings.
To develop and deliver a comprehensive training programme for the MDT.
You will be expected to perform occasional home visits with other team members to educate both patients and their family and the community team.
