Job description

We are a passionate and fast-growing vintage clothing business, dedicated to making second-hand fashion more accessible and affordable through our popular thrift events. Based in Manchester, we host regular pop-up events showcasing high-quality vintage at unbeatable prices. We’re looking for friendly, reliable retail assistants to join our team and help deliver an amazing shopping experience at our events.

Role Overview:

As a Thrift Event Retail Assistant, you’ll be part of the team running our weekend events at our Manchester warehouse, located near Piccadilly Station. You’ll help with everything from setting up the sales floor to assisting customers and operating the till. This is a hands-on retail role perfect for someone who loves vintage fashion, enjoys working with people, and thrives in a busy, fun environment.

Working Hours:

Saturdays & Sundays (2 weekends per month) - 10.30am to 4.30pm each day

Key Responsibilities:

Stock Management: Keep the shop floor and changing rooms tidy and well-stocked, hang and organize clothing displays.

Till Operation: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our till system.

Customer Service: Welcome customers, answer questions, and help them find what they’re looking for.

Teamwork: Work closely with other staff to ensure events run smoothly and customers have a great experience.

Required Skills & Attributes:

Passion for vintage fashion and sustainable shopping.

Friendly, approachable, and confident working with customers.

Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail.

Experience in retail or customer service is a plus but not essential – we’ll provide training!

Comfortable working on your feet for several hours in a fast-paced environment.

This is a part-time role , ideal for students or anyone looking for weekend work in a fun, creative environment.
