The Opportunity

My client is a well-established housing provider in Berkshire, committed to delivering high-quality, safe, and sustainable homes. They are looking for an experienced Surveying Services Manager to lead on planned investment, major repairs, and property compliance.

The Role

As an Asset Management Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing investment programmes, major repairs, and compliance initiatives, ensuring that all projects align with regulatory standards and strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of the organisation’s planned investment programme, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
  • Oversee major repair projects and address critical property issues, including damp and mould prevention.
  • Procure and manage contractors and consultants, ensuring regulatory compliance, value for money, and continuous performance monitoring.
  • Act as the lead for property adaptations, alterations, and energy efficiency measures.
  • Ensure compliance with Decent Homes Standards, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), and other housing regulations.
  • Provide strategic insights into long-term asset management, aligning planned investment with the organisation’s 5-year and 30-year business plans.

About You

  • My client is looking for an experienced property professional with a strong background in asset management, surveying, and planned maintenance. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience delivering investment programmes and planned maintenance within the housing sector.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage large budgets and assess value for money.
  • Proven expertise in contract procurement, contractor management, and compliance monitoring.
  • Experience with asset management databases, stock condition surveys, and disrepair cases.
  • Excellent project management skills, from inception to completion.
  • A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 4, HND in Surveying, or RICS accreditation (or working towards this with strong CPD).
