Live in Housekeeper wanted for a large estate in Kent – ASAP Start

A lovely family of 5 are on the hunt for a live in housekeeper to join their estate near Tonbridge Wells, Kent.

The ideal candidate will be independent to work without direction, highly organised and be efficient with their time. You will need to be proactive and manage your own cleaning schedule, e.g. cleaning out the fridge every fortnight.

Duties will include but aren’t exclusive to:

• Cleaning the home, including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping surfaces and windowsills. Caring for antiques, such as polishing brass and silver.
• Laundry and ironing, including care of delicate items and unpacking/packing.
• Changing bed linen and towels.
• Stock and inventory management.
• Pet care (2 lovely dogs).
• Shopping as necessary, running errands.
• Overseeing contractors and accepting deliveries.
• Liaising with the House Manager.

The accommodation offered is a separate three-bedroom cottage with a bathroom, kitchen and sitting room. Pets and partners are welcome.

The Principal’s mother lives at the end of the drive in a three-bedroom cottage. The candidate will be required to spend a maximum of 6 hours a week maintaining her house in a clean and tidy state.

Location: Kent

Days/Hours: 40/45 hours per week Monday to Friday, with flexibility for 1 weekend a month.

Salary: £38,000 gross per annum.

Accommodation: a 3-bedroom cottage on a minimum AST (£250 per annum).
