PEOPLE are at the HEART of everything we do.
An exciting job-share opportunity has become available for an experienced pharmacist to lead the pharmacy services to the Acute and Emergency Care Clinical Group at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust, a large acute NHS Trust serving a diverse population in North East London.
The pharmacy department has undergone a restructure with the creation of new lead pharmacist posts aligned to each Clinical Group within the Trust. With the support of the Heads of Pharmacy and the Chief Pharmacist, the Lead Pharmacist(s) for Acute and Emergency Care will lead the team through this change, developing the services and roles of the specialist pharmacists within the Clinical Group and providing excellent patient care and clinical outcomes.
This post would suit a highly experienced clinical pharmacist looking to utilize their leadership skills, management, and clinical knowledge in a challenging environment. The successful applicant will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of the service provided at the Trust.
Working as a job-share, lead, deliver, develop, and evaluate a consistently high-quality clinical pharmacy and medicines management service to Acute and Emergency Care, incorporating Emergency Departments and Acute Assessment areas. The post holder will work closely with the multidisciplinary team, developing initiatives and guidelines to ensure safe and cost-effective use of medicines in this area and across the interface between primary and secondary care. The postholder will manage the Band 8a Admissions pharmacists on both sites and other staff rostered into the clinical area, as well as putting forward business cases for identified resource gaps.
