Fire Alarm Engineer

This Fire Alarm Engineer position is paying up to £43k basic depending on experience. The higher end of the salary bracket will go to multi-skilled fire alarm engineers experienced in Gent, Notifier panels, etc.

A Fire Alarm Installation, Commissioning and Servicing Engineer is required for a permanent opportunity covering Greater London. Office based in West Sussex, just south of M25. No expectation to visit the office every day.

Salary: £38K - £43K (depending on experience) Base Salary + Commission

The Fire Alarm Engineer Role:

1. Carrying out planned service and maintenance tasks on a varied customer base - from a retail unit to an office block.
2. Carrying out a range of tasks from small works to commissioning.
3. Opportunity to carry out some larger installation work on projects for those with a desire to develop and enhance their install skills.
4. Use existing knowledge and experience to fault find.
5. Offering a comprehensive service to our customers in accordance with British Standards in a defined area.

The ideal Fire Alarm Engineer candidate must have:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Fire System maintenance/installation/design or estimation.
2. FIA Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance Module.
3. Experience of open/close protocol fire alarm systems.
4. Electrical design with fire alarm element.
5. Working knowledge of BS5839 & current Health & Safety legislation.
6. The ability to work to time-sensitive deadlines.
7. Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
8. Full UK driving licence.

This is a Fire Alarm Engineer position which services London and the surrounding areas; ideally, you will be multi-disciplined in the fire industry from installation, commissioning, and small day work repairs.

Salary: £38-43k + commission + van + benefits
