Salary: £11.75 per hour
Shift Pattern: 3 on / 3 off (8am-8pm or 8pm-8am) - Days and Nights Available

About the Role:

Howard Finley Care are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our clients specialist Learning Disabilities service in Sutton Coldfield. This role involves supporting young adults with autism and other learning disabilities, that includes challenging behaviour and helping them to live fulfilling, independent lives.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide person-centred care and support to young adults with learning disabilities and autism.
  2. Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  3. Support individuals in accessing community resources and engaging in social and recreational activities.
  4. Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and other professionals.
  5. Monitor and report on the progress and well-being of the individuals you support.


Requirements:

  1. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
  2. Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or currently working towards it).
  3. Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others achieve their goals.
  4. Flexibility: Willingness to work a 3 on / 3 off shift pattern, including both day and night shifts.
