Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Events Team Leader to handle the set up and service of catering for meetings, conferences, workshops, and receptions at Victoria & Albert Museum.

About the Events Team Member role:

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down events spaces, including table arrangements and buffet stations.
  • Set up and service of coffee, teas, beverages, and food for meetings and conferences. Efficiently manage the arrangement of breakfast and wine receptions, maintaining exceptional presentation and service standards.
  • Support events staff during receptions, ensuring seamless delivery of service in accordance with clients' expectations. Provide ongoing guidance and support to uphold excellent service throughout each event.
  • Brief the events team on event details, including timings, clients' requirements, and service expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and storage of crockery, glassware, and other catering equipment following daytime deliveries and setups. Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, properly stored, and prepared for future use.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and health regulations at all times.
  • Assume managerial responsibilities in the absence of the manager, ensuring continuity of service and operations.
