Job Purpose
The QC Operator will work as part of a team to ensure that all Digital Cinema Content created, mastered, and distributed at MPS is delivered to the highest possible standards and in accordance with the Client's specifications.
The role is part of a shift pattern and can require weekend work.
You will report to the QC Manager.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Run DCP and file-based and broadcast QCs and ensure that the high quality of content and specs are met.
- Ensure that all the latest QC procedures and DCI compliance are followed for all Digital Cinema Content, including features, trailers, and trade show clips.
- Lead client-attended theatrical QC sessions as and when needed.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of any QC flags.
- Effectively communicate a wide range of technical and contextual QC issues to those with varying levels of understanding inside and outside the department.
- Work closely with the Mastering, Audio and Client Relations teams on a day-to-day basis.
- Escalate any errors or difficulties to the QC Manager and Senior QC Operator where applicable.

- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.

- Proficient in using Digital Cinema theatre equipment and communicating technical issues.

- Familiarity with Linux, Mac & Windows computer environments.
