Job description

At SkilledUp Life, we help anyone to gain new experiences and skills that could further their career. At the same time, we help tech startups to survive and thrive through our skilled Volunteers. SkilledUp Life global community now includes over 41,000 Volunteers from 134 countries and we have helped 100 tech startups, mainly from the UK and USA.

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to oversee our social media presence. Your role will involve crafting original text and video content, scheduling posts, and engaging with our followers. You’ll also be tasked with maintaining a consistent company image to meet our marketing objectives.

Activities:

  1. Develop and implement social media strategies to promote our company’s mission, events, and initiatives.
  2. Create and curate engaging content for our social media channels, including text posts, images, videos, and info-graphics.
  3. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on social media platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute social media campaigns and contests.
  5. Analyze social media metrics and insights to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions for optimization.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in social media marketing and recommend innovative strategies to reach our target audience.
  7. Assist in the development of social media policies and guidelines to maintain brand consistency and protect the organization’s reputation.
  8. Provide regular reports and updates on social media performance to the management team.

Requirements:

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.
  3. Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and content concepts.
  4. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  5. Experience in social media marketing or digital communications is preferred but not required.
  6. Ability to work independently and work remotely.
  7. Commitment to our company’s mission and values.
