Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Brigg, Lincolnshire
Pay Rate: £85 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-Day/Long-Term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a nurturing primary school in Brigg, Lincolnshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to support Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) learners, fostering their development in a welcoming and inclusive setting.

About the Role:

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA), you will play a crucial role in supporting the class teacher and creating a stimulating environment where young children can thrive. You will assist with play-based learning activities, encourage social development, and provide tailored support to help children reach key milestones.

EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA) Responsibilities:

  • Support the teaching and learning of EYFS pupils, promoting engagement and enthusiasm.
  • Assist in the delivery of creative and play-based activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Provide individual and small group support, ensuring all children receive personalised attention.
  • Foster early communication, literacy, and numeracy skills through structured activities.
  • Promote positive social interactions, helping children develop confidence and independence.
  • Support children with early emotional regulation, offering reassurance and encouragement.
  • Ensure the learning environment is safe, engaging, and inclusive for all pupils.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to support children’s progress.

EYFS Teaching Assistant (TA) Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with EYFS pupils in an educational or childcare setting.
  • A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Childcare, or Early Years Education (desirable).
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
  • A caring and patient approach, with a passion for early years education.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, supporting the class teacher and wider school staff.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
