What will you be doing?

Following S&W's expansion into the North East, we've experienced significant growth in our audit business, servicing some of the most successful businesses and entrepreneurs in the UK. With such growth comes great opportunities to expand the team across the board. As such, we're seeking a talented individual to join our Audit team in Newcastle.

You will be responsible for planning, performing, and completing the audit process for each assignment. You will ensure clients are provided with a high-quality service through the effective management of resources and liaison with relevant departments.

As Audit Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing relationships with key contacts at the client.
  • Ensuring that clients receive an efficient and proactive service and that expectations are exceeded.
  • Identifying issues and agreeing on resolutions with the client Partner or Director, ensuring they are up to date with the job's progress.
  • Awareness of commercial aspects of clients' businesses and their impact on our work.
  • Identifying and highlighting any opportunities for S&W apparent from work undertaken.
  • Regular discussions with the client to confirm progress, identify solutions to any hurdles, and ensure reasonable expectations are met.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Be fully ACA/ACCA qualified.
  • Have demonstrable audit and accounts experience gained within a professional services firm.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both internally and directly with clients.
  • Have the capacity to manage projects and generate engagement with stakeholders.
  • Have demonstrable experience of supervising others and delegating work.
  • Exhibit a clear ability to organize yourself and others, enabling you to work on several different assignments at one time.
