Management Accountant | Worksop

Your new company

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team in Worksop. This role involves working closely with the Financial Controller to provide comprehensive financial support and analysis to aid in strategic decision-making for the business.

Your new role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, you will take on a hands-on role and focus on the delivery of monthly management accounts. You will also support improving efficiencies within the finance team and across the wider business.

Responsibilities:

  • Support with monthly and year-end reports for stakeholders.
  • Prepare month-end journals, prepayments and accruals, and handle other month-end tasks.
  • Work with external accountants for tax compliance and audits.
  • Reconcile balance sheets and find ways to improve efficiency.
  • Communicate with operational teams to highlight risks and improve processes.
  • Ensure subsidiary companies in Northern Ireland and Ireland meet reporting requirements.
  • Prepare content for board meetings.
  • Make sure suppliers are paid on time, and manage cash flow.
What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have previous experience in a Management Accountant role and have experience in a similar environment, strong IT skills, including Intermediate Excel and experience working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of quality and detail. Experience using SAGE 200 is desirable. You will have previous experience in driving processes and implementing change, and be able to provide examples.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Part-qualified accountant actively pursuing a professional qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Skilled in using Sage 200.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products, especially Excel.
