Business / Account Development Manager, London

Forrest Fresh Foods Ltd, a family-run business established in 1996, has grown to become one of the largest and most reliable wholesale suppliers to cash and carries, independent retail and convenience stores in the UK and globally. We specialize in a wide range of products including soft drinks, confectionery, snacks, household goods, toiletries, groceries, pet care, and alcohol. Our expert export team ensures efficient delivery and compliance with international shipping regulations, providing friendly and diligent service from order to delivery.

We are actively looking to recruit an experienced Regional Business Development Manager to join the successful Field Sales Team of a growing national UK FMCG Wholesaler. This is a field-based position with daily focus on selling major FMCG brands to retailers, food service operators and wholesalers in a defined territory.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Management of a diverse portfolio of accounts in the territory
  2. Achieve defined sales targets on a monthly / quarterly basis
  3. Selling new products and tracking brand distribution at account level
  4. Track and monitor customer performance
  5. Identify and convert new customer opportunities
  6. Provide all appropriate reports and updates to National Field Sales Manager and wider business as required
  7. Liaise with the operational team to plan and ensure excellent customer service

What we need from you?

  1. Minimum 3 years field sales experience in a recognized FMCG branded environment
  2. Preferably with a good existing contact network in the specific territory
  3. Demonstrate previous success and growth achievements
  4. Knowledge of Convenience retail and Discount retail account bases
  5. Knowledge of clearance / residual stocks
  6. CRM experience, Microsoft Business Central
  7. IT literate, including all Microsoft applications
  8. Commercial understanding of key financial measures, including GP and PoR calculations
  9. Product category knowledge would be highly desirable – confectionery, soft drinks, crisps & snacks, general grocery, cleaning products etc
  10. Growth mindset and ideas
  11. “Drive” and “Will do Attitude”
