Are you a passionate individual looking to support the education of young people?

Here at Smile, we are seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to work as a Cover Supervisor for a secondary school based in Leicester. You will be covering PE lessons, but also you will be required to cover classroom-based subjects as required by the school.

The successful applicant is required to have relevant recent experience working with children, i.e., working within schools, tutoring, mentoring, sports coaching, Youth Worker, Camp/Scout/Girl Guide leader.
There is a big demand for Sports Coaches/Cover Supervisors in the Leicestershire area, so whether you can work part-time or full-time, we will be able to help!

The expected pay range for the role is between £100-£120 depending on experience.

Responsibilities

1. Take over PE lessons in the teacher’s absence; you may also be required to cover pre-planned lesson plans across various subjects.
2. Ensure there is a positive learning environment for the pupils whilst their teacher is absent.
3. Follow the school’s policies and procedures.
4. Manage the behaviour of the class, supporting the pupils at all times.

Requirements

1. Previous experience working with children.
2. Previous experience working in education (desired).
3. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to pay for one.
4. A passion for teaching/supporting.
5. Strong communication skills.
6. Able to work in different classrooms with a can-do attitude.
